Stone Cottage Stephanie Tessmer-Reynolds, owner of Stone Cottage Jewelry, loves designing shiny shiny things.

Stephanie’s passions have always resided most in and around anything shiny. It didn’t matter if it was in an elegant store window display or around the wrist of a stranger at a party, interesting textures, vibrant tones and, of course, the shine factor caught her eye. She began making jewelry as an extension of her other creative outlets (cooking, music and poetry) and decided to dive into the business when her son and daughter began full days at the local elementary school. Stone Cottage Jewelry was born and her ever-evolving line of luxuriously colored and delicately balanced pieces has taken hold of the communities around NJ.

Inspired most by her travels to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Alaska, Ireland, Vancouver Island, New Mexico, California, Maine and Mexico, her palettes revolve mostly around earth tones and the innumerable blue/green hues of water. Of course, that's not to say that the view from the porch of her own 1935 stone cottage doesn't provide an occasional spark.

Though stints in Hollywood and the New York fashion industry seem like dream roles for this Penn State grad, being a mom and jewelry designer bring the most happiness these days. Whether it's the pleasure she sees on those that wear her pieces or the fact that she now has an excuse to eat, sleep and breathe shiny things all the day long, Stone Cottage Jewelry feels like the result of a life well-lived and passions vigorously pursued. And next to her fantastic husband and two teenagers, what could be better than that?
